Finally! What we’ve all be waiting for. FYF Fest 2010 is ONE DAY away from gracing Los Angeles Historic Park with myriad musical and comedic performances to satisfy your eardrums.  BNB.com staffers Lauren Novik and Laurel Kathleen will be on the scene, but here are a few advance nuggets to get your mouth watering…

Among the bands performing are !!!, The Blow, Vetiver, Mountain Goats, and Panda Bear of Animal Collective.  Not to mention the headlining band The Rapture, who first came on the scene with the release of their single “House of Jealous Lovers” in 2002.  Since then The Rapture has released twoalbums, several single releases and a few A and B sides. With a musical line up like that featured at FYF Fest this year the crowd will be exploding with excitement, anticipation and more than likely large quantities of booze, all of which combine to make a great audience for The Rapture to close the show for.

Aside from the music, there will also be some comedic relief to the show.  Comedians The Sklar brothers, Janeane Garofalo, Brody Stevens and Matt Besser along with many others will be in charge of providing the laughs needed to cheer up those hot sweaty indies during the all day event.  Art will also be presented at the festival so there will be tons of treats to see and buy.  And the Fest has even stepped it up from previous years with providing two full beer gardens and many more food vendors that have vegetarian and vegan options so animal lovers they kept you in mind!

2010 marks FYF Fest’s 7th year of operating and hopefully there will be many more years to come. As their website says about the show this Saturday “…the festival has sought to be a mix tape of bands that would never play with one another but go so well together.”  Needless to say that statement is true.  For those of you with a wide range of bands you enjoy but that you couldn’t get at your average Warped Tour, FYF Fest is your place to be.  Tickets are now $30 and can be purchase HERE. Enjoy, music lovers!
