If 1970’s electrofunk had a scandalous cradle-robbing affair with MGMT style contemporary experimental pop, you’d be given a little blessing in the form of Gamble & Burke.  But hey, retro is the new now and good music never goes out of style- no matter what the vintage is!  Take their surprisingly addicting “the kid is in love,” the tricky little tune makes you want to bust out moves sharper than the white suit clad Travolta.  Once afflicted with the incredibly contagious Saturday night fever the two boys up the ante and head back to the future with a little early ‘90s hip hop all up in the music mix.

The unexpected culture collaboration is a sweet little surprise, and only makes Gamble & Burke slightly more appealing, because these boys are taking tried and true favorites and amping them up for a new millennium of kids that are always on the lookout for the next big thing.  Gamble & Burke is clearly a winning bet.
