Blind Pilot heads out on Fall tour of the West!

Portland indie-folksters Blind Pilot have just announced a brief fall tour, the last one, they say, until a new album is fully recorded. The charming sextet will head out on a tour of the west this fall, ironically skipping Portland. Perhaps this snub is aimed to create a more dramatic comeback with their upcoming sophomore release? Nonetheless, catch the band on tour if you can. Whatever comes next, Blind Pilot’s 3 Rounds and a Sound will remain a simple masterpiece of Pacific Northwest folk music, and there’s no better way to hear it than live. You might even get the privilege of hearing the band play their amazingly good cover of MGMT’s “Kids.” Yes, really.

PS-keep your eye on lead singer Israel Nebeker’s tennis-shoe-clad feet. He sings on his tip-toes and it is inarguably adorable.
