We’ve got a little dose of hip hop on this one, featuring an older favorite from k.flay, who I saw thrown down at Santos Party House, and one of Zach Klasson’s top tracks from the new A$AP Rocky, which he reviewed. Also included is a track from L.A. garage rock/skater punk band Criminal Hygiene, who was our latest Artist of the Week, and who Daniel Kohn tagged as being “as authentic as they come.” Katrina Nattress interviewed Philly band DRGN KING, and we’ve got “Holy Ghost” on the mix, a new single from their new album Paragraph Nights, which they discussed the making of.

Pickwick ft. Sharon Van Etten, “Lady Luck.” This tune was written by Richard Swift, making for a cool three-way collaboration.
As Elephants Are, “Lucifer.” This is the brand new single from the Buckinghamshire four piece, slated for a hard single release with b-side “Youth Blood” in March, but you can grab the mp3 for free.
Stubborn Heart, “Need Someone.” This smooth groove tune heavily inspired by classic pop fell into my inbox mid-week, and has really wormed it’s way inside my earholes. Their debut album will be released in March on One Little Indian, and the video for this track is up now.
SKYE ‘Featherlight” – This is one sweet dance track from Morcheeba’s lead singer. This is the brand new radio edit from the lead single off her recently released third album, which comes with an alluring video featuring Skye completely covered in glitter.
Lost Animal, “Lose the Baby.” – This Australian duo sounds like Kurt Vile singing over a funky groove. “Lose the Baby” features an infectious piano melody with a rising and falling organ, and bass filling in all the right places. And that synth solo halfway through – wow.
Ambrosia Parsley, “The Other Side.” This is a brand new one off the forthcoming 5-song EP, serving to provide a glimpse of her coming solo debut, Weeping Cherry, due later this year.
