Since its lauded 2009 release, Bit Orca, Dirty Projectors have left its fans nervously twiddling their thumbs in anticipation for a follow-up. After announcing that they were, in fact, working on their sixth album, the Brooklyn-based experimental indie rockers have been gradually releasing tracks to keep up the hype around one of the summer’s most anticipated releases, Swing Lo Magellan, which is slated for a July 10 release.
Today, the band gave their fans a little gift—a full stream of the album. Hosted by New York Times, you can listen to all twelve of Swing Lo Magellan’s glorious tracks here. In addition to the new record, the band’s vocalist/guitarist David Longstreth wrote and directed a short film entitled HI CUSTODIAN, which features music from the upcoming album. The film is slated for a summer release and stars members of the band. You can watch the film’s trailer here.
