Vladimir Releases ‘In My Head’

Vladimir

Berlin – When one thinks of bands that spark their interest, usually the bands are those that have made an impact over years and years, spanning countless albums, singles, and tours across the globe. Although exceptionally young, Vladimir is a band that packs a substantial sonic punch, already boasting of a stage presence that has had them opening for the likes of Pulled Apart By Horses and The View. Unlike most pop bands at their age, Vladimir is a driven dark alternative to the mainstream, offering melodies that catch you, hook, by the note, and measure to measure.

Defying their years with innovative sound and provocative lyrics, ‘In My Head’ (released by OIW Music) sets the tone and demonstrates why Vladimir has managed to rack up a loyal following so quickly, a distinct divergence from the typical teenage fare dominating the current musical landscape. Not only are they edgy, but they are just melodious enough to capture the interests of those that are not usually keen on hearing from bands this young so angsty. If the Kaiser Chiefs come to mind when you listen to Vladimir, then you are just only beginning to see the potential and career trajectory already. Still so young and new to the scene, there’s definitely more to come from Vladimir. And unlike many their age that attempt to dabble in this darker genre, more is hotly anticipated.

Their resume already boasts an impressive compilation of tours that many far older than them would be jealous of. They have been billed alongside the likes of The View, Catfish And The Bottlemen, and The Wytches, with feature coverage in NME, Q Magazine, Line of Best Fit, Artrocker, and Clash Magazine. There is a reason they have managed to snag such bylines in the press: their melodies are an attractive offering that yields a sonic clash that bangs with the right tinge of trepidation and tenacity.

In My Head’ has already been called the next track that will take them closer to becoming an even bigger asset to their genre, with another tour set later in 2015. As this latest release seeks to confirm their status as a rising band worthy of the attention they are garnering, this is one of Scotland’s best new bands, releasing output that is definitely that listeners will want more of once initiated into their sweet sonic madness.
