Since 2010, the London-based trio of Elena Tonra, Igor Haefeli and Remi Aguilella, otherwise known as Daughter, has gained a loyal fan base playing to sold-out venues around the world. Their first album, the silver selling, If You Leave, released in 2013, debuted in the Top 20 of the UK album chart and received critical praise.

The release of their highly anticipated sophomore album Not To Disappear this past January was heralded by ‘Doing The Right Thing’, which was immediately applauded by Robin Hilton on NPR’s All Songs Considered . Soon after came the launch of the albums debut single, ‘Numbers’, which was similarly highlighted by Stereogum who wrote, “Elena Tonra’s masterfully somber lyrics and vocals dress the track in melancholy colors typical of Daughter: a wistful venture into dark, moody dream-pop.” The final song of the video trio, ‘How’, was premiered by The Wall Street Journal.

The bands latest offering, ‘No Care,’ finds lyricist/vocalist Elena Tonra at her most direct and unflinching. Its accompanying video, directed by James Slater, echoes the song’s frenetic energy.
