Comments Elle on the tour: “I absolutely cannot wait to tour with Of Monsters and Men again. Beyond the fact that they are the nicest and most wonderful people to be around, their live shows are jam packed with energy and great music. Sharing a stage with great musicians like them is a dream and their fans are so incredible. I feel so lucky they keep asking me to come back. They will be great shows which will not disappoint.“
With the release of her well-received debut, a 4 song EP titled simply “THE ELLE KING EP,” Elle King has begun to make her mark: The EP’s lead single “Playing for Keeps,” is featured as the theme song for “Mob Wives Chicago” and Elle made her television network debut on The Late Show with David Letterman.
Critics have been praising Elle: Esquire declared her “one of 2012’s artists to watch,” Glamour raved “Elle’s brand of groove is dirty, bluesy, and soulful…she croons like an old soul,” Entertainment Weekly described her sound in their “Must List” as “dangerously catchy” and Perez Hilton also praised “We were blown away by her voice!…The singer packs a real emotional punch and brings a rawness to her songs. SHE is what makes them special!”
An extraordinarily talented musician, Elle possesses an incredible songwriting flare and an arresting voice in a category all her own – she also plays a mean banjo and guitar. Born in Ohio and raised in Brooklyn, her musical style and songwriting themes are a blend of old soul, blues, and rock ‘n’ roll and her personal style is Bushwick, Brooklyn meets mid-Western charm.
