New York – James Bay will perform on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday July 21, 2015. This marks the acclaimed UK troubadour’s Tonight Show debut. He’ll be playing the latest single from his critically acclaimed full-length debut album, Chaos And The Calm [Republic Records], “Hold Back The River.”

On the heels of his previous sold out U.S. run, Bay returns to North America for another massive headline tour where he will play his largest venues to date in the states. This follows up a string of unforgettable festival dates where Bay performed for hundreds of thousands of fans including main stage appearances at Glastonbury, T in the Park, BBC Radio 1 Big Weekend and more. In addition Bay is confirmed for not to be missed performances at Lollapalooza, Outside Lands, MO Festival, Squamish Festival, headlining Vevo’s LIFT Live Concert and  performing at the iHeartRadio Music Festival at MGM Resorts Village on September 19^th.

Internationally, James has taken over. The album debuted #1 in over 20 countries and is currently this year’s best-selling debut album in the UK. In addition, “Hold Back The River” has gone 2x platinum in Australia, Sweden, and Holland and platinum in the UK, Italy, New Zealand, Denmark, and Norway. On the sales side, global downloads have surpassed 1.1 million and the song has been streamed over 132 million times on Spotify alone bringing the global consumption to nearly 2.5 million.

Following numerous critical accolades and achievements from outlets such as Rolling Stone,The New York Times and Billboard, “Hold Back The River” is on the rise at US radio. It has hit #1 at Triple A radio and has now been there for three consecutive weeks. In addition to Triple A,“Hold Back The River” is also Top 10 at Alternative radio.
