Kathryn Ostenberg performs “Light Me Up” Exclusively for BestNewBands.com

Today we have a special treat from a former Artist in Residence, Kathryn Ostenberg. She recorded herself performing “Light Me Up” just for us, and you’re among the first to see it. Enjoy!

Thanks so much for having me back at bestnewbands.com ! This is a song called “Light Me Up” that I co-wrote with my friend Jess Penner. (If you don’t know her, DEFINITELY check her out- she is fabulous www.myspace.com/jesspenner ) It’s  a song about meeting someone and having everything change for the better in a split second. It’s quite lovey dovey and I like that about it.  My first EP is called ‘The Serendipity EP’ because I am a huge believer in serendipity, fate, and everything happening for a reason and I feel like this song (and man oh man is it a happy one) kind of embodies that. I’m happy to report that this is one of many new songs that you will hopefully get to hear soon because I am writing my ‘debut’ record and I hope to begin recording all the new songs in early winter. And to all you LA readers- my next show is at The Troubadour on December 3rd…opening for Uncle Daddy, Ernie Halter, and Justin Young- so I hope to see you there!! Thanks for reading/watching/and listening!
