Lollapalooza Diary Day Three- Third Time’s A Charm

Lollapalooza From The Front Lines, Day Three- Third Time’s A Charm!

So Lollapalooza is officially over, and day three was most definitely third time’s a charm status!  I was lucky enough to hang out with Justin Krook, bassist of Fight From Above- the band that will officially be our Artist in Residence for the month of September!

Not only did we musically multitask like it was going out of style- seeing Hockey, Minus The Bear, Flosstradamus, Cypress Hill, Wolfmother, and ending the day with the more than epic dueling headliners Soundgarden and Arcade Fire- we worked in a little non-stop dance party to negate the over-indulgence in concert food fare.

The test of endurance was on and rocking when Krook and I engaged in a little Perry’s Stage dance-off with several hundred of our closest then strangers, now acquaintances!  He won, let me tell you, hands down, and to one-up me further, busted out a little impromptu push-up set street side.  Clearly I’ll be working on my dangerously not up to par dance endurance before my next music festival!  (Fingers completely crossed for CMJ this October 19-23!)

All in all I am now all the more stoked to see Edward Sharpe at Sunset Junction, playing along side several other amazing artists- Saint Motel being one of them- details to come on my don’t miss list Sunset Junction edition in a couple days!

Festivals already planned for next year?  Another round of SXSW action, and Lollapalooza- hope to see you all there for another round of insanity, sleep deprivation, and a whole lot of dancing.  But hey, the musical masochist in all of us knows it’s always well worth the sacrifice!
