It was pretty weird seeing Anberlin’s name in semi small print on the Sonisphere lineup, seeing as they’re such a force to be reckoned with in the states, dominating radio waves and feeding us with carefully created tunes and tracks.  I was however totally looking forward to their set and being able to hear some of my favorites at Knebworth’s Sonisphere show- and Anberin did not disappoint!

Stephen Christian and the rest of the talented Anberlin ensemble stormed the stage as if they owned it and gave the UK a more than healthy dose of energetic hard rock.  Aside from an ample helping of tunes, one of the best moments offered to the crowd was Christian crowd surfing during the last joint they played- and you may have even heard of the under the radar song- “feel good drag”- sound familiar?  The crowd’s reception was more than a little welcoming with people swarming to help elevate the lead while they anxiously sang along with the him!

Before the musical mayhem took place Christian sat down with me on the Gibson Tour Bus and we got to chat about what’s up next for the group, and when we can expect some new tunes!
