Street Drum Makes Some “Big Noise” At The Roxy!

SDCrobpolgar

Street Drum Corps have been taking over the Roxy Tuesday nights and you know that feeling where you really want to forget all the nonsense in your own life and focus on something- ANYTHING- else?  This is the show for that.  I’m talking blindingly loud percussion capable of causing an LA fault line to shift- epileptic style lighting that blinds you somewhat unexpectedly, and all in all, the ruckus is definitely a spectacle worthy of first hand experience.

The musical mayhem was spawned at a local wasteland where the Alt brothers and friends grabbed any equipment they could get their hands on and literally just started banging, Adam Alt divulged while sitting in traffic on Highland.  Apparently one man’s trash really IS another man’s treasure because the video clipped stint got them gigs at several amusement parks where they’ve wow-ed audiences ever since.

After touring with 30 Seconds To Mars on a number of occasions SDC is proud to introduce the public to their CD “big noise” and when I asked Adam what was up next for SDC in twenty-eleven he said a lot more shows- and a lot of on the road action!

Make it out to the Roxy this Tuesday for their final residency date and bid the boys adieu with a bang!  After all, ‘tis the season for some slight distraction, in the form of very loud musical mayhem.

Can’t make it to this Tuesday?  Check out SDC at www.streetdrumcorps.com to find out where to catch the kids next!
