Glasgow, Scotland has birthed a slew of buzz bands—the most recent being Frightened Rabbit, The Twilight Sad and The Vaselines—and Olympic Swimmers hope to be next on the list.
The quintet has been creating beautifully melancholic indie rock since 2009 and released its debut full-length, No Flags Will Fly, in June. Today, we are excited to premiere “Fallen Trees,” the latest single off the album.
Led by Susie Smillie’s balmy vocals, the song marches forth with the help of cinematic keys and wandering guitars, resulting in an anthemic ode to winter. Olympic Swimmers are currently on a UK tour with Admiral Fallow. Check out tour dates here and listen to “Fallen Trees” here.
