Los Angeles Kicks Off Summer With The Jubilee Music And Arts Festival

Nothing says summer like outdoor music festivals, and though there are plenty of heavy hitters spanning the country and beyond in the next few months, Los Angeles is celebrating early with the Jubilee Music and Arts Festival – a two-day all-ages event that includes indoor and outdoor live performances by emerging and touring musicians, authors and comedians, as well as food, drinks and trinkets for sale.

We here at BestNewBands.com are, of course, attracted to the Jubilee for its impeccable music lineup. Fifty bands will embark on Los Angeles’ Downtown Arts District on June 7th and 8th, including The Drums, Bleached, Fool’s Gold, KITTEN, Trash Talk and RiFF RAFF, but what sets this festival apart from others is its diversity. Aside from the musical performances, Iliza Shlesinger will be curating comedy and PEN Center USA will be presenting literature while 20+ food trucks and vendors stand by to cure hunger, 40+ arts and crafts booths set up stands for those who like to shop, and adult beverage bars sponsored by Heineken and Jameson Irish Whiskey plant themselves around the grounds to serve those who get thirsty!

The best part about this shindig? The price. A two-day pass only costs $50 and admits you to any of the performances over the weekend. We’ll be out and about checking out the festivities. Buy your tickets here and join us!
