Canon Blue is the solo project of Daniel James, who is also a contributor to the Danish post-rock electronic band Efterklang. On his own, Daniel makes thoughtfully-arranged folktronica, and his new album Rumspringa was just released yesterday. Check out the first single, “Indian Summer.”
Daniel actually wrote the songs on this album while on tour with Efterklang, and recorded it in Iceland with Sigur Ros’ string section, amiina. This basically guarantees that Canon Blue’s music will be beautiful, because you can’t really go wrong in Iceland.
