Continuing my thoughts on my upcoming KISS concert, there were a handful of songs I always imagined were by KISS that fit my idea of how hard they must rock. Admittedly, they’re pretty tame by today’s standards, but somehow they’re not as tame as actual KISS songs sound to me. The two standouts on the list are “Fox on the Run,” which turns out to be by Sweet, and “Surrender,” which turns out to be Cheap Trick. It also turns out that I have no ear for distinguishing between 70s rock groups.
Assuming that I’m not the only modern gal confused by such things, I share with you here the videos for the two aforementioned songs, as well as one for an actual KISS song. What do you think?
fox on the run– sweet
surrender– cheap trick
rock and roll all night– kiss
