Berlin – For fans hungry for an album that blends the genres of pop and folk, with a dash of rock layered with engaging vocals, Joshua Fletcher’s Ready, Aim hits the mark. Serving up ten tracks of illustrious songs through record label We Trust Records, Fletcher is on a mission to take his career to the next level with this release on May 26th. Produced by Alex Dezen, Ready, Aim boasts an impressive line-up of musicians that showcase his abilities, including Madi Diaz and WhynotJansveld (of Mosco Rosco). The songs on the album were initially created on acoustic guitar and then fleshed out in collaboration with the aforementioned musicians. Alex Dezen is a producer that is known for bringing out the best in artists and his influence can be heard throughout the entire album. Comparisons to Ryan Adams and Counting Crows are inevitable, but this doesn’t detract from the obvious talent that Joshua Fletcher displays. In the song ‘We Are All Alone’, Fletcher lends great vocals over the track that brings to mind the artistic brilliance of Tom Petty, layering the earnestness and raspiness of Fletcher’s voice over a beautiful harmonica. The next track on the album, ‘Oh, Midnight’, sets the mood with a groove via acoustic guitar and a bridge that immediately demonstrates that Fletcher is capable of delivering an expansive sound. Arguably one of the standout tracks on this release is ‘Still Your Blues’, which serves up elements of rock that harken back to the sound and artistry of the 80s, complete with synth and keyboard arrangements that will satisfy those hungry to hear Fletcher’s take on the genre.
