CRUISR Releases New Single & Announces Tour

CRUISR by Melissa Tilley - Best New Bands

Los Angeles – Philly indie pop band CRUISR has released the single “Take That,” just in time for the band’s North American tour with PVRIS. The past year CRUISR has been releasing singles and touring non-stop, sharing the stage with The 1975, Bleachers, Young Rising Sons, MisterWives, and Imagine Dragons.

CRUISR began in 2012 as the solo project of Andy States but quickly morphed into a full band, now comprised of States on vocals and guitar), Jon Van Dine on drums, and Bruno Catrambone on guitar. The indie-pop trio creates summery, infectious, feel-good hooks. The band’s first EP was written and recorded in States’ Philadelphia bedroom, when he was “obsessed with the idea of what it means to craft a pop song,” The six-song self-titled EP was produced by Jeremy Park and released in the summer of 2012.

In 2014, the band released its second EP All Over, which was produced and mixed by Andrew Maury (RAC, Panama Wedding, Ra Ra Riot), and performed at Budweiser’s Made In America Festival and Firefly Music Festival. Now CRUISR is back with not one, but TWO new songs: “Take That” and “The Fritz.” Both are catchy as all hell and are sure to be your summer go-to party tracks. ”Take That” is available for purchase on iTunes, as a double single with B-Side “The Fritz.”

Beginning May 11th, CRUISR will be hitting the road with PVRIS, performing at the Cannery Ballroom in Nashville, Tennessee. The tour will conclude in Boston, Massachusetts on June 10th, at Royale. A full list of tour dates can be found below.
