There's A New Buzz In Town and It's Called Nico Vega and Saint Motel

One of the most anticipated tours for indie-lovers on the west coast is the upcoming buzzband tour featuring Nico Vega and Saint Motel. The tour, which started off last night at San Diego’s Casbah, will be traveling up the coast for most of November. Friday night’s stop at The Roxy On Sunset in West Hollywood is sure to be a night to remember.

The show is billed as the tour’s Halloween show with the theme being a witch hunt. For those familiar with Saint Motel, they know that each show will be different than the last and this will be no different. What you can expect from the outfit is the unexpected. With infectious energy, a dynamic stage performance and incredibly catchy songs, Saint Motel is one of the best bands not only in Los Angeles, but the entire country. Led by the vocal chops of A.J. Jackson and the shredding of guitarist Aaron Sharp, the quartet will put on a performance to die for (which should fit in well for Halloween)

On the other side, Nico Vega aren’t slouches by any means. Powered by the haunting vocals of Aja Volkman, whose stage prescence has been compared to Karen O. and Janis Joplin, the trio’s stage performance, though different than Saint Motel, doesn’t mean it is less powerful. The band’s powerful stage show, which they manage to do without a bassist, has made the group one of the most talked about bands in its own right.
