Thunder On The Left: ‘Sick’ and Slick!

Thunder On The Left

Berlin – Trick or treat!!

Who knew such big sounds could come from such a small band?

Prey for rock and roll.

This Halloween, the trio Thunder On The Left is back with a serious vengeance with the first single to lead off the release of their upcoming EP, The Art of Letting Go through their own imprint Malevolent Records. There are few musical acts capable of bleeding a hauntingly raw sound on wax as well as live, yet Thunder On The Left is currently one of the latest bands to know on the London scene, with their new single ‘Sick’ capturing the edge in their music. Upon the release of this single, it will be even more evident that this is a new act worthy of the attention it is currently enjoying as one of the most exciting indie bands around.

Thunder On The Left yet again prove that their musical weight is not to be undersold with the return of the single ‘Sick. This track immediately goes for the jugular in the intro, then quickly breaks into a wicked staccato beat that leaves you anticipating vocals that seductively deliver. Featuring come-hither, breathy vocals from guitarist and frontwoman Carla Tully, listeners will be immediately intrigued. And just when you think you’re completely drawn in, the beat attacks again, charging through another verse, by which time you’re already caught up. ‘Sick thunders, rattles, and rolls at just the right sonic pitch, the perfect track to complement the previous single and introduce their upcoming full-length album.

This track is sick sick sick!

The power of music to influence, educate, and inspire cannot be denied and Thunder On The Left may have pundits wondering with the single ‘Sick

Is this the new definition of musical mayhem?

When Thunder On The Left first arrived on the scene, the music industry should have known they were to be taken seriously. Named after the book of the same name by Christopher Morley, this rock band interweaves a message through their music that speaks on introspection, the repercussions of inaction, and the interactions of man and the underlying effects. Their first single, Fact from Fiction, includes lyrics that point a sharp finger at today’s abusers of power in our current ‘no-fault’ society. With ‘Sick, Thunder On The Left strikes a deliberate chord, delivering a punk, angst-y rock song that will demand to be listened to and picked apart. There is a reason why this band is able to manage such a full sound, thanks in part to the backing vocals from bassist Adam Kingsley, and drummer Arun Dhanjal. The power of their vocals is nicely balanced with the stealth of their musicianship, and their harmonies are just as tight as the lyrics are biting.

Anticipation is already mounting and with the release of ‘Sick’, current fans of Thunder On The Left will anxiously await their EP The Art of Letting Go which debuts on October 30th.
