It’s Thursday- that’s like a hop skip and a jump from Friday- but we still need a bit of motivation to make it through the Monday to (almost!) Friday mundane.  Lucky for us we’ve been clued into a little auditory treat care of the always exciting and ever innovative Darwin Deez!

Darwin and I go wake back- like all the way back to a few months ago when I was lucky enough to interview him (read the gem of an article HERE!) and catch his live set at Satellite.

Now I’m down for a little indie awesomeness, and I know that a little of the unexpected is just part and parcel of the scene.  I’ve pretty much been there done that on a daily basis.  No amount of preparation could have prepared me for D squared’s impromptu freestyle rap with one of his openers- it was however, a more than pleasant surprise.  I mean anyone that can pull off his crazy 80s outfits in style is pretty much going to get a get out of jail free card on most things.

Anyways back to future at 88miles per hour and Darwin’s given us a happy-Thursday-you’re-almost-at-the-end-of-the-week present with his new track and equally awesome vid for DNA!  Watch below, thank me later.

Also as a head’s up and motivation to brave the super sunny So Cal heat Darwin will be joining us in Silverlake again at the Echo on July 7- so quit the whole too cool for school persona, suck it up, and actually plan to snag your tickets in advance before you’re so totally SOL’d, as they will sell out stat.
