If you’re in LA and searching for a safe musical haven away from the madness of Comic Con in Anaheim, go see Superhumanoids tomorrow night at The Echo! They’ll be playing with the enjoyably rocking but hard-to-pin-down Royal Bangs and the equally trippy Therapies Son, and tickets are only $8 in advance. Superhumanoids are no strangers to BestNewBands.com: in addition to being nominated for two of BnB’s year-end best lists for their incredibly catchy song and delightfully strange corresponding video for “Persona” (see video below break), the band even provided the story behind the song in a backstory article by Leona Laurie. I reviewed their set at The Echo last fall with We Barbarians, and I liked them so much I even downloaded their EP Urgency (now available on iTunes). I just came across yet another awesome video for their song “Hey Big Bang” and have included it for your viewing pleasure below:

Be sure to check out Superhumanoids‘ video for “Persona” directly above. Purchase their EP Urgency on iTunes. If you’re going to The Echo tomorrow, it’s located at 1822 Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles, California 90026. The show is 18+ and the doors open at 8:30pm. Advance tickets are available for $8 here or $10 at the door. If you’re going to the show, be sure to post back on our Facebook page to let us know how it went!
