Scattered Trees Releases The Soundtrack To Our Lives

It’s overcast in now not so sunny California.  You’re heading over the canyon and through the hills to anxiously awaiting the ending of your nine to five nonsense filled week.  As per usual you’ve had enough of early morning talk radio which has nothing of value and you’ve resorted to shuffling through your car’s glove compartment which is chalk full of too many CDs you used to love.

Lucky for you this problem will be solved in a few months when Scattered Trees finally releases “Sympathy.”  The highly anticipated and hyper-contemplative album is nine tracks of introspective awesomeness in the form of Death Cab-esque darkness set to a sweet little folk-ridden sound.

Sometimes, not always but sometimes you need the perfect CD to contemplate life, love, or lack thereof while navigating your way through an overcast canyon in California.

So semi-socialites, self-proclaimed indie kids, and scenesters make sure to mark your calenders for August 8 when this CD will officially drop.  I’m so thankful I’m privy to the CD’s sound because it’s getting a one way ticket to my ipod- there’s no way I’d survive a ten hour flight sand these sweet soothing sounds.  Scattered Trees, you can anxiously await my thank you note via snail mail.

Key track I’m obsessing over currently?  “Love and Leave.”
