Congratulations to Allison! You’ve won a pair of tickets to see The Parlotones at Portland’s Doug Fir Lounge on Sunday, and before the show, you’ll be meeting the band! Here’s the winning comment:

I fell IN LOVE with the Parlotones when the opened for Blue October last fall. I got see them play four shows and loved every minute of each performance. I plan to see them in Spokane, Seattle, Vancouver (renewed my passport just for this show!), and Portland. If they are playing within driving distance, I am there! One of my friends who I introduced to the Parlotones will be going to the the Vancouver show with her boyfriend (on his birthday!). I’ve told all my friends to go to the Seattle show (I live in Seattle). I am thrilled that they are headlining this tour and am personally glad the venues here are small (at least the Seattle venue) for that personal feeling. I am positive next time around they will be selling out larger venues! 

I NEED to win the tickets for the sound check so I can tell the gents personally how thrilled I am with their success here in the US. As a bonus, I believe I am old enough to be their mother, so the wives and girlfriends back home in SA need not worry about this crazy fangirl!
