Need some rad plans this Saturday night?  Look no further than the Fox Theater in Pomona. This weekend, a killer line-up of–wait for it–The Kills (promoting their new album Blood Pressures), Cold Cave, and The Black Angels will be making sweet love to your yearning ears.  While everyone knows the worthiness of The Kills, and with Cold Cave quickly acending the ranks of awesomeness, we are left with The Black Angels.

With their third album, Phosphene Dream, due out in September, this Austin-based band has geared up and brought a sound that is trippy but still rooted in a vintage hard rock sound.  Think Velvet Underground meets The Doors meets The Black Keys (with a hint of shoegaze).  With their new album produced by Dave Sardy, who just produced The Airborne Toxic Event‘s most recent album All At Once (Read a review of this album here and/or a review of their concert here), Phosphene Dream is sure to impress.  And this weekend you can get your sneak peak.
